Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions?
When are you open?
We don't have set hours and the stand is self-serve. If the curtain of the cart is open, there are typically eggs and goods in the stand. If the curtain is closed and there is an "Out of Eggs" sign hanging, it is closed.
Are you open in the winter?
Sometimes! Chickens tend to stop laying or lay less in the colder months. Also, if it's below 30 degrees, we will not put eggs in the refrigerator because they will freeze. Usually in January / February, we will close the stand for a couple of months.
Are your eggs washed & refrigerated?
Yes, and please keep them refrigerated. We abide by PA laws for selling eggs which include: cooled to 45°F or below within 24 hours of being laid and labeled properly. We have a refrigerator in our cart to keep the eggs cooled properly.
How are your eggs packed?
We pack them in clear, plastic containers with a card inside that includes the proper labeling and then tied with a ribbon to ensure your carton stays closed during transport.
Do you have a cartoon return?
Yes, and we accept our own cartons ONLY. Our cartons are plastic and we can wash and sanitize them. We cannot wash and sanitize paper or styrofoam cartons and do not accept them. There is a basket in the bottom of the cart to return the cartons and also ribbons if you choose to.
Are there other things in the cart?
Sometimes there are! Items are seasonal and may include vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries and small gifts. Please see the page for our seasonal menu that lists current goods.
How do I pay?
The stand is self-serve. There is a cash box on the wall or you may use the Venmo / CashApp / PayPal accounts listed above the box.
Please note, eggs and goods are consumed at your own risk. We are not responsible for any allergies or illnesses associated with consuming our items.
